Our Friends Are Angels

We arrived home from the hospital that Saturday afternoon and were immediately flooded with an outpouring of love and support from our amazing friends (who are family) in addition to our blood family.

Our home quickly turned into a florist's shop full of gorgeous blooms in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Food was delivered, from home made food and freshly baked breads to private-chef crafted dishes, to yummy kids meals for Caia. We had friends come over and clean our kitchen, bring over bags of groceries, wine, stuffed animals, gifts for Caia, and sent gift cards and bottles of wine.

We have friends who had bracelets made and started fundraisers...the generosity has known no bounds.

Not to mention, our friends were pouring their hearts out in prayer circles, sending in requests to their local churches, and reaching out with supportive texts, messages, instagram messages, emails, and phone calls.

Via social media, I connected with other mothers whose daughters were also diagnosed with Wilms Tumors. They have become an incredible source of support and advice.

And Laila's story was shared with so many others who started praying for her and sending their love, positive vibes and support.

Chris and I are OVERWHELMED by the generosity of our family, friends, and those around us. There are absolutely NO words to even try to describe how grateful we are for everyone's love, messages, prayers, support, gifts. We are the luckiest family in the world to know that we have an ARMY of incredible people behind us, lifting us up through this nightmare. So, this message is to just say, THANK YOU. In every language. At every decibel. We love you all so much.
